Two Dance Movements a3 (1666) by Giovanni Maria Bonnoncini (1’20” and 44”)

From Modena, a French-style Branle and its Corrente variation, edited by Charles Heiden as a study in bowing layout with detailed rhythmic analysis and methodology for analytical rehearsal. Performance, is from score, for two violins and continuo. But orchestral doubling also is effective: violas play from the violin parts, basses go with the cellos.
